IPoE (single VLAN) with BBox3 ?

Hello,

I would like to start experimenting with IPoE (single VLAN) on VDSL2.

I can configure the change from shared VLAN (PPPoE) to single VLAN in MyProximus.

Is there any way I can use my BBox3 as modem (in bridge mode?) with that setup?

As far as we are aware, this is not supported.
However, you can swap your B-box with a new Proximus "Internet Box"

• as soon as the Internet Box is detected, your line will automatically be converted to "single VLAN" mode.
• bridge mode is available trough "My Proximus" (by adding the WAN MAC adress of your router in the "Bridged Host" field.

In this case no need for PPPoE anymore on your own router.

I’ve heard on the contrary that the latest b-box 3 software updates add the compatibility to the single VLAN. Nevertheless, until now, I’ve only used Internet Box in order to “convert” my line to single VLAN. So it’s perhaps more appropriate to ask a swap to make sure the line is OK end-to-end.

I'm not sure that it will automatically be converted, as on my fiber line (mobile vikings) the internet box would not work. only the bbox would work.

I was interested in this as well - new proximus customer - got a BBOX 3 - V ( We have big stocks ).

I see the option to migrate to single vlan - but it fails ...

I can upgrade to the internet box for 49 euro ... that's a new proximus strategy

Tried to change multiple times to single vlan and it failed.

Then I disconnected the modem and I changed to single vlan, that worked. I switched out my bbox v3 for a A-Mod 3, I did activate DHCP vlan 20 and it works now, ipoe. And less power consumption with the amod in stead of the BBOX v3.
