This looks too good to be true. Forgive me for being skeptical but I have to ask what does Qihoo get from giving away 36TB of storage? Has anyone vetted the client/app/sync software to be sure it’s safe, ie. free of malware and viruses? A member of my family got bitten by “cryptolocker” and so I am just a tad more skeptical these days than I used to be and I was pretty skeptical before that happened. Maybe this is a limited trial offer and they hope to gain subscribers. That would explain things a bit. I haven’t translated the pages yet so maybe the answers to my questions are there.

Yep, it does, but it’s not as good as it looks, after two weeks, I’ve reached the conclusion that it’s an awful service, uploading wise and it’s not worth the trouble. Maybe some chinese payed for it, I’ve seen the screen caps of the guy using 1TB, but I never managed to work around it. Uploading went bust after 25GB or so, it uploads 2GB/day then it never manages to upload at least one single file for the remaining 23 hours or so. Tried to make a 2nd account, upload from there with full speed, and then import that data to the first account on the web page, it never let me log in from a download page. Possibly to prevent bypassing of speed limitations.

All in all, it’s a nice gimmick / marketing tactic offering so much space, but it’s not worth it, i.e. not real. Trust me!

It’s the only reason I’ve come here, to make a “review” and worn people to not waste their time.

Ik zie mij niet direct mijn data verplaatsen naar een Chinese opslag dienst

ze bieden gratis 25GB aan, maar voor 1 euro per maand 100GB en voor 10 euro 10TB
Het komt van onze favoriete hosting ovh en data staat in Frankrijk

Ja hoor, Hubic al gezien. Alleen spijtig dat ze geen foto app hebben zoals Carousel van Dropbox (of zie ik er ergens over?).

Ik zoek eigenlijk een online opslag om éénmalig data naartoe te zetten van 2 HDD's (2TB data in totaal ongeveer). Ik gebruik voor mijn actieve data Dropbox (documenten en foto's in combinatie met de Carousel app). Ik betaal niet graag 2x voor opslag en wil toch wat zeker zijn dat ik nog altijd aan die gegevens geraak ook al vallen mijn HDD's kapot.

Maar zoals gezegd als iemand een alternatief weet voor Dropbox icm Carousel, laat maar gerust weten.

Welk bedrijf kun je nu echt vertrouwen met je data?
Bij gevoelige data moet je zelf maar encryptie afdwingen.
