(sorry, krijg deze in het Engels aan, mijn eigen schuld
)
Belgacom is cutting its rates for mobile Internet via the Proximus high-speed 3G broadband network. Mobile Internet rates will be even lower for Belgacom ADSL customers. With a data card or an USB modem, users have fast and easy access to wireless Internet via their laptop. This gives them access to their e-mail, company data and the Internet whenever and wherever they want.
Starting this month, mobile Internet is cheaper for Belgacom and Proximus customers, with rate cuts of more than 40%. With Mobile Internet, residential and professional customers have access to the Internet with their laptop and a data card or USB modem via the Proximus 3G network. Residential customers can surf and consult their e-mails everywhere. Company employees have also access to company data and central files when they are on the move. Mobile Internet is also possible via a PDA, smartphone or mobile phone.
Mobile Internet rates particularly low for Belgacom ADSL customers
In December 2007, Belgacom launched an offer combining mobile Internet and ADSL. Customers who have an ADSL Go, Plus or VDSL Boost connection or a professional connection (ADSL Pro Compact, Office or SDSL) with or without a fixed line, can combine their subscription with the Mobile Internet option want to surf and e-mail when they are on the move. They can request mobile Internet at Belgacom and pay for the option via their Belgacom bill.
Mobile Internet via the Proximus 3G Broadband network
3G Broadband allows you to surf as comfortably as with a high-speed Internet connection at home or in the office. To implement this, Proximus upgraded its 3G network in 2006 with the new HSDPA mobile technology, which allows download speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps. The network's coverage extends to 85% of the population. If there is no 3G coverage at any particular location, the data card or USB modem immediately switches to the GPRS/EDGE network.
